Now, I haven’t played extensively with this palette yet, but I have worn the blushes, the bronzer and the highlighter. I’ve yet to explore the four eyeshadows, but I have used theBalm’s eyeshadows before, and I like ’em. They have an easy-to-blend, soft formula (comparable to too faced shadows); a lot of of them are very wearable, too, and have a healthy amount of pigment.

I’m also pretty ecstatic about The Manizer Sisters Palette. In it, you get three of theBalm’s bodacious highlighters — the amazing golden Mary-Lou Manizer, pinkish gold Cindy-Lou Manizer and bronzy gold Betty-Lou Manizer.

Great! I think these are great. They remind me a lot of BECCA’s Shimmering Skin Perfector pressed highlighters. You can use them for soft and subtle effects, or turn that ish up to highlighter heaven. If you haven’t tried these highlighters yet, this palette’s a good way to get them all in one place.

Trochu lepšie ako jahodové pop-tarts mám na raňajky práve teraz! (Aj keď niekedy pop-koláč naozaj zasiahne miesto, nemôžem klamať.)

Stretol som sa tam minulý týždeň, Arianne z blogu Geek Geek, jej detská dcéra Sarah a môj Buddy Marisol.

Služba podpisu Tea je skvelý spôsob, ako si prestávku od nakupovania na niekoľko hodín, ak ste niekedy navštevovali mesto s priateľmi. To stojí 45 dolárov za dostatočnú atmosféru, hrniec čaju pre každú osobu (zvolené z širokej škály chutí) a slané sendviče, sladkosti, scones a ovocie pre nomácie.

Každý má inú stratégiu nom-stravovania, ale začal som s pikantnými sendvičkami (nakrájaná uhorka so smotanovým syrom bola moja obľúbená, nasledovala pozorne vaječným šalátom), potom sa presunul na scones (ktoré som mi dal v citrónovom tvarohu) , Pred dokončením s sladkosťami, ktoré zahŕňali perník cookie, ktorý ma cítil, ako som sa topil do mojej stoličky …

Something that saves you time when you’re getting ready in the morning?
Curling my hair and/or doing a blowout early on Monday morning, which normally takes me about a half an hour, so that all I have to do the rest of the week is touch up my roots with a little dry shampoo (I’m really lovin’ this one from Living Proof, BTW) and swiftly brush it through.

Saves me a ton of time to not have to style my hair on a daily basis. Plus, in that weirdly icky, ironic hair way, I think my hair looks better as it gets grungier throughout the week.

Cheesecake or pie?
Pie all day, every day, son! Please make mine pecan with a big scoop of whipped cream on top. pekne ďakujem.

Would you rather read a romance, or a mystery?
Hmm… OK, how about a young adult romantic mystery??

LOL! but seriously, probably a mystery, but it’s gotta be lighthearted and fun. I can’t get into books that are too heavy or severe these days.

O môj Bože! Prší!! It’s cold, completely overcast and lightly raining.

It was pouring last night and this morning, and we had some loud, long thunder and lightning. poor Tabs was terrified! He was staring out one of the windows when the thunder struck, and it afraid him so badly that he leapt in the air and started coughing!

I think he may have choked for minute, but he seems ok now.

When was the last time you wore a uniform?
If we’re defining “uniform” in the strictest sense of the word, then it was probably my band uniform back in high school, and good despair that thing was hideous! Ruffles and a huge, ill-fitting bucket hat just ain’t cute.

But if we’re using the looser, a lot more normal definition of “uniform,” then it was probably about eight or nine years ago when I worked as a legal assistant in a tall building in downtown SF.

I pretty much wore a slightly different version of the same thing each day — black pants, black shirt, black shoes.

Eh, it was easy, and I didn’t want to think too hard.

Good morning, sweet friend! It’s a stormy day here in northern California.

Wanna hear something kind of random…? I just observed that I can’t sit as close to my desk as I used to because of baby girl and my tum.

Yup, and my keyboard feels so far away… LOL! I know I keep saying this, but that’s because I’m regularly shocked: baby girl is getting ginormous! I was staring at my stomach the other night, and she kicked so hard that I actually saw the skin move.

It was both delightful and freaky at the same time.

In other random news, I made a loaf of banana bread last night, and it’s already nearly gone. El Hub and I tore into that thing with a fierceness!

The recipe came from MBB reader Rachel R.’s hubby (thank you very much, you guys!), and it was effing deliciously light, cake-like and moist. thank you again, Rachel, for sharing it!

Rachel R.’s Hubby’s Banana Bread

* start with all ingredients at room temperature, 68-70 degrees F. put rack on lower third of the oven. preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease an 8.5″ x 4.5″ (6-cup) loaf pan.

* Thoroughly whisk together the following ingredients in a bowl:
1 1/3 c. all-purpose flour
¼ tsp. salt
½ tsp. prášok na pečenie
¼ tsp. prášok do pečiva
½ tsp. cinnamon
¼ tsp. freshly grated nutmeg

* In a large bowl, beat on high speed until lightened in color and texture, around 2-3 minutes:
6 Tbsp. softened unsalted butter
1/3 c. granulated white sugar
1/3 c. light brown sugar
Beat in the flour mixture, adding a little at a time until blended and the consistency of brown sugar.

* gradually beat in until combined:
2 large eggs, lightly beaten

* Fold in until just combined:
1 c. mashed, very ripe bananas (about 2 average-sized bananas)
½ c. coarsely chopped walnuts or pecans (optional). You can also add in a 1/2 c. of chocolate chips, if you like.

* Scrape the batter into the pan and spread evenly. Bake until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, about 50-60 mins. let amazing in the pan, on a rack, for 5-10 mins. Un-mold and let amazing completely on the rack.

Normally, a full-size Cremesheen Glass would cost you $21 and a Dazzleglass would cost you $20, so all four, if you purchased them together, would set you back $83, so $35 for four, even if they’re minis, is a quite good deal.

Plus, many of the glosses aren’t colors you see everyday. I mean, I’ve seen a few of them before. Like, I have vague recollections of loving Galaxy Rose, and I’ve absolutely used Phiff! in the past, but for the most part, you can’t just hop over to a MAC counter and get these. So that’s one amazing thing the Lip Gloss Kits have going for them.

I also like the Cremesheen Glass formula. MAC has a bunch of different lipglosses, but the Cremesheens are a few of my favorites. They aren’t sticky like the Lipglasses, and they’re less pigmented overall, which implies they’re easy to apply without a mirror.

And I believe the Dazzleglasses look very amazing (SHINY! SPARKLY!), but, to be honest, they aren’t my favorite formula. They’re extremely sticky, and I believe they’re type of uncomfortable. I mean, I’ll wear them to a party but not around the house.

As for the Lipstick Kits, a lot more of the colors are O.G. MAC must-haves. If you’ve been using MAC for a long time, and possibilities are you have if you’re reading this blog, you know about lady Danger, you know about Impassioned, and you know girl about Town. Those are in these Lipstick Kits, and I believe that’s awesome. I wouldn’t complain whatsoever if somebody provided me the Red set and I opened it and saw that it had a bit lady Danger. I’d be all, “Look, it’s a small lady Danger!!! how adorable is that!?”

Obviously, if you have these colors already, you might not want to give one of these kits to yourself, but hey, if you did want to, I’d completely support that. and if you have a pal who likes MAC, like my pal Alis does, I know she likes lady Danger, so I believe she’d like the Red Kit.

Je ťažké vybrať si svoj obľúbený spomedzi lipstick súpravy, ale s najväčšou pravdepodobnosťou by som si vybral ružovú, pretože to má závažné a dievča o meste.

Tiež som naozaj ako Nouvelle Vogue v nahej sade. Je to očarujúce ružovo koralové nahé. Použil som ho za posledných niekoľko dní.

A všetkých týchto súprav, keby som si musel vybrať len jeden … Ja by som si vybral červený lesk na pery, pretože farby všetko vyzerajú od seba na mojich perách. Navyše, verím, že lesklé súpravy sú trochu lepšie riešenie.

Niekedy som žiadal na Havaji ako “vlasť”, pretože môj mužský asistent je odtiaľ, ako aj keď tam idem tak veľa. Môžem byť tiež súčasťou havajskej!

Ten je to hlavne pracovný výlet – ako, musím skontrolovať na mnohých možných plážových priestoroch pre moju pripravovanú mačité plavky kalendár, rovnako ako som sa tiež chcieť zastaviť, rovnako ako ísť do Kitty návrhy, ktoré zvládnem Kauai. Sú súčasťou pobočky na Havaji mojej modelovacej agentúry, ktorú som veľmi šťastný, ako aj tím, ako aj tím v posledných rokoch urobil nejaké obrovské kroky.

Ale ja budem mať rád na hranie, takže program musím uspokojiť s niekoľkými mojimi falošnými kamarátmi, ako keelly Slater (nie znížiť mená alebo čokoľvek) – viete, robiť nejaké surfovanie, rovnako ako visí von , Len sa teší na ostrovy.

Naposledy som išiel na Havaj, vzal som šnorchlovanie, rovnako ako to naozaj naozaj zábavné. Páči sa mi to prakticky rovnako ako surfovanie.
